Make it Pretty: Overcoming Alopecia with Synthetic Wigs for Friendship

My mother and I couldn’t believe the sparkling Caroline Sinclair, my high school BFF, would need a collection of wigs. Her signature hair styles flowed in sync with impeccable style. Get this. There’s no question she remains the center of attention for her style. Very few know she dons lace front wigs. Keep it on the DL.

Back in the day as kids growing up in our home town of Scottsdale, we used to knocked ‘em dead. Then her hair loss kicked in and she became nearly bald. I did hint at some lace wigs. Oh well, balding was no big deal to her. The incredible woman somewhat obnoxiously fully owned her innate beauty.

Attending the school’s baseball championship, we heckled until some kluts purposefully slapped the orb (or that thing they use) into the stands. Such a sport, she reached out for the thing when her cute little hat jumped from her head, unveiling her thinning hair. As though nothing were amiss, she hurled the thing with a tremendous heave right back at him. Attitude, did I mention she’s got it?

However, who can be invincible at all times? Months later we got together for a mid-day lemonade chat, the day she laughed nervously and revealed that she prefers to do without hair out of bitterness. She dare not become dependent on beautiful wigs, secretly acknowledging she knew it was a good idea. She then our fearless protagonist changed the subject and demanded that I drop it. I thought “oh, well.”

I thought about it all night. Later on, I called about going shopping with me for a new lace front wig. Finally the two of us came to the obvious conclusion: we’d buy each other wigs So I’m getting one too!

Not sure who was more amazed by the wide selection of hair colors, textures and styles. She never imagined that lace front wigs could be so natural for so many women. These women’s wigs made her so lovely. As for me, arranged a comprehensively fresh set of outfits to match my synthetic wig. Out of solidarity, you know. Not long ago she thanked me for her human hand-crafted human hair wig, and explained it fosters a real positive image that she’d forgotten. It’s my pleasure to watch her float about as light as a feather. I’m right there with her.
